About  Global Documentary  -  Global DocumentAry®  (go to main site)

Global Documentary stands for a fast growing community of film makers and assignment providers around the world. A networking platform that helps both sides connect and casually discuss small and large projects.  GD expands upon the work of freelance writer, cameraman and filmmaker Andreas Wallach, who currently works with clients in domestic and international television, TV news, film and video production, advertising, public relations, new media and corporate sectors.

Andreas telecommutes and travels from Portland, Oregon, USA and Leun, Germany, near the city of Frankfurt. Born and raised in Europe, he served in NATO toward the end of the ‘cold war’ era. Later he relocated to Los Angeles, California and began to work in the film and television industries. Wallach’s interest in nature, adventure and the great outdoors, eventually led him to Oregon. Compelled to write, film and produce documentaries, his initial films featured whitewater sports on some of the Pacific Northwest’s most spectacular streams.

Since 1985 Andreas' work has aired on regional, national and international broadcast networks, including ABC and PBS in the United States, WDR German TV and RTVi, a Russian network. Among global topics filmed and/or produced by Wallach are river explorations in northern India, an expedition into the Amazon Basin
and the search for WWII shipwrecks, in the South China Sea.

Several documentaries Andreas Wallach collaborated on, have won prestigious awards from film festivals in the United States and abroad.

Andreas and/or associates are available regionally and internationally, for projects of all sizes.
